No matter how you feel about The Donald, one thing’s for sure – his golf courses are amazing. The guy knows real estate and hires the best golf architects to design his golf courses. So which ones are worth checking out? Here are the best top 3 courses built or owned by the Trump estate.
Trump International Golf Links, Scotland
A photographer sent Trump a picture of a phenomenal piece of land located in Aberdeen, Scotland. Despite environmental concerns, Trump immediately purchased 2,000 acres and built one of the most magnificent golf courses ever constructed.
Opened in July of 2012, the course follows a classic pattern of two out and back loops of nine holes. All 18 holes thread their way through the dunes, rising to find views of the sea and coastline and plunging into secluded valleys. The dunes along the North Sea are among the grandest in the world.
Designed by Dr. Martin Hawtree, the course uses the most mountainous part of the dunes for spectacular elevated tee boxes at No. 14, a demanding par four, and No. 18, a stunning par five punched with eighteen pot bunkers.

Trump International Golf Links, Ireland
This luxury resort is located near the village of Doonberg, Ireland and was purchased by Trump in 2014. Greg Norman, a two-time British Open Champion, designed the spectacular par 72 links course.
It’s a beautiful place to enjoy its slow pace and dramatic scenery. Carved out of a landscape of grass covered dunes, the course’s biggest water hazard is a stunning view of the Atlantic Ocean.
Offering panoramic views of the Irish countryside on each hole, the layout stretches 1.5 miles of crescent shaped beach and century old sand dunes along Doughmore Bay. Norman took the philosophy of ‘least disturbance’ or taking the natural route in designing the links out of the sand dunes.
The beautiful seaside accommodation combines superb service, a relaxing spa and spectacular golf links for a luxurious stay. Visit the Trump International Golf Links in Ireland for an unforgettable getaway.
Trump National Doral Miami
In 2012, Trump purchased this iconic property with the goal of creating the greatest golf resort in the United States. Every aspect of the 800-acre resort was completely redesigned.
The result is an amazing transformation that will blow you away from the moment you arrive.
You can play 90 holes of championship golf including the world famous Blue Monster. Dramatic and longer than ever before, the 7,590-yard course played host to the Doral Open from 1962 to 2006. And from 2007 to 2016 the WGC-Cadillac Championship made its home there.
Other than the course itself, there are 643 guest rooms which feature luxury amenities. Dining options offer some of the best food you can experience in Miami. Don’t miss out on the 50,000-squre-foot spa.
Trump National Doral Miami is simply a wonderful and memorable experience for golfers and families alike.
