The TaylorMade Gang once again carried Ryan Moore to victory in Malaysia over the weekend. They worked just as hard as they did last year to secure the winner’s spot, and proved that you’ve got to go with what works.
“Yeah, the money and fame are nice,” said the TaylorMade RocketBallz 3-Wood, shortly after the victory, “but what’s most important is showing the world what we can do. And showing that two years in a row is icing on the cake.”
The TaylorMade JetSpeed Driver was quick to chime in. “I just want to make it perfectly clear that I did most of the heavy lifting today. While it’s true that all TaylorMade clubs are equal, some are more equal than others.”
“Typical driver,” muttered the TaylorMade Preferred Wedge. “I didn’t see him contributing to the short game. I didn’t see him getting us out of tight spots. Nothing but a showoff.”
One member of the winning team had a different perspective: the Titleist Pro V1x ball. Interviewed after coming out of the final cup, the Pro V1x was more thoughtful and introspective than the rest of the jubilant gear.
“Don’t get me wrong,” the ball said soberly. “I’m certainly thrilled that we won. It’s just that I was set aside recently for trial runs with the Callaway Speed Regime 3 ball and the Srixon Z Star ball. Both great balls, don’t get me wrong, but it’s hard to feel like a team when you’re out of it for a while. Y’know?”
The Adams Idea Super 9031 Hybrid, the Miura PP-9003 Pitching Wedge, and the Yes! C-Groove Sandy 12 Putter were all thrilled with the win as well, but were unavailable for comment.
