3balls Golf is auctioning 8 rare scotty cameron putters on eBay and they decided to blog about it!

According to golf expert Alex Deve, there are three important reasons to consider the Masters Golf Tournament, happening this week in Augusta, Georgia. First, the Masters is golf’s most prestigious tournament – you have to have won another tournament to be invited to play the course. Second, the Masters is extremely exclusive, and it is actually considered an honor to play the course, which (of course) ups the value indeed. And finally, the course itself is actually quite hard to play, which, if you are a golfer, is the ultimate challenge, So it comes as no surprise that people are willing to buy tickets to attend the Masters just to be able to walk the course, knowing the chances are quite dim of them actually playing there. And the so-called “practice rounds,” happening early this week, give spectators a chance to watch players when they are a bit more relaxed. So it is actually more fun, and marginally less expensive, than attending the tournament itself.
No matter what your preference, eBay’s got you covered. Today’s remarkable find are tickets to the Masters Golf Tournament:
On offer are a variety of tickets, from practice rounds to full day tickets. The only thing we can’t find on eBay is the coveted green jacket, given to the winner of the tournament. Turns out the winner of the green jacket must return it to the clubhouse one year after the end of the tournament.
That being said, we did find this incredible Signed Masters Jacket:
The jacket is unique in that aside from being green, it is autographed by famed golfers Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson, and it comes with a certificate of authenticity.
Folks who are passionate about golf are a rare breed. There are so many good golf quotes that sum up the game nicely, it’s hard to choose one. But a favorite around here at eBay stories goes something like this:
If you want to take long walks, take long walks. If you want to hit things with sticks, hit things
with sticks. But there’s no excuse for combining the two and putting the results on TV.
Golf is not so much a sport as an insult to lawns.
Be that as it may, if you are into golf you know that the Masters is the official start of the golfing season. With that in mind, eBay has put together this collection of brand name golf inventory exclusively up for sale in celebration of Masters Week.
And finally, a quiz: what do all these golf clubs have in common?
Well, aside from all being putters, they are each designed by the same brilliant craftsman, the same guy who designed the winning putter used in the 1993 Masters Tournament. If you want to find out who it is, take a look here. We’ll give you a hint – with them, you could be finally say “Beam me up, Scotty.” Soctty Cameron, that is. Yes, it is his collection of eight rare Titleist putters up for sale.
Take a look at these eight rare Titleist golf putters, and happy bidding (and happy putting).
Why am I using a new putter? Because the last one didn’t float too well.
